Dr. Charulatha Mani is the Creative and Artistic Director of Lullaby Land. A South Asian migrant singer-researcher-educator with a PhD (2019) in Music from Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University, Charu is a well-known personality in the field of Karnatik Music and Indian film music. In her current avatar as a researcher-performer, she is passionate about empowering the diversity of voices through community-based music-making initiatives that privilege native languages, traditional musical materials, and uniquely multisensorial cultural expressions.
